Here are two Naxi women who
were part of a dance group. |
This woman was sitting in
behind a little table, selling trinkets. |
Here is a young women from one of the
shops. I get the feeling that the younger people don't wear
these cloths out on the street of new Lijiang.
This guy was definitely
here just for tourist photo oporturnity. |
I call this one: "Old
Dude Going About His Business" |
Naxi women coming back from
a market. Although the old town has a definite "Colonial
Williamsburg" feel to it. It does genuinely have
residents living there. |
A young woman in
traditional dress. Many shops had a person out in front making
something.
Hey lady's...
This old woman was sitting in
a little alcove along one of the alleys selling little Naxi
trinkets. She did not speak much Mandarin. She speaks the
Naxi language. She was very sweet and curious about Emily.
She asked me if she was my daughter and I said she was. I got a
big smile from her and she agreed to let me take her picture.
The lighting was not so good though. |
Naxi person. |
Not Naxi!
A Chinese tourist.
Yunan's version of Haus Cartwright.
From Bonanza.. Come
on? You must know who I'm talking about. |
A restaurant greeter.
There are many, many, restaurants and
bars in Lijiang's old town.
This picture was taken at
Suhe village. It is another old town around Lijiang. We
saw lots of people caring loads of pine needles. The wood I
can understand, I am not sure what there were doing with the pine
needles. |
Working in a small garden
near Suhe. |
This young women is
modeling a traditional outfit. |
What can I say,
that is some outfit! |
