Tiger Leaping Gorge
This is Tiger Leaping Gorge, which is about 2 hours drive from Lijiang.  The gorge area is quite extensive, but these are pictures of just one particular area.  This part is set aside as a tourist attraction with entrance fees, manicured walkways, and wide spots at the perfect viewing areas.  As you can see we had a beautiful day, but the sun had not yet hit this area and it was fairly chilly!
Nearing the entrance to Tiger Leaping Gorge tourist area.
Kelly and Emily just inside the entrance.  They blasted a  10 foot wide "path" into the side of the gorge.  There really would be no other way to get to this side of the gorge.  The canyon walls are shear.
Kelly and Emily walking along the "path".  See, we have our hiking boots on!
Hey!!

Come on Emily...

I just want to take your picture...

In some places they blasted tunnels into the walls of the gorge.  This one tunnel was perhaps 100 meters long.  That's our guide Annie with Kelly and Emily.
Here's Kelly pretending to save Emily from going over the side!
See that big rock in the middle of the picture? That's the one that the tiger used to jump across the Yangzi....or so the legend says.

That's the big "jumping rock" up close.  Can you spot Kelly and Emily?
A rare shot of Scott.  He prefers to stay behind the camera!
