Trip Back to China

This time we decided to break the trip into two days.  We flew to Shanghai the first day and stayed over night.  The next day at 11:20 AM we took a train to Ningbo.  This gave us a chance to show Blyth around Shanghai a bit.  So of course we took her to see the view across the river to the Pudong area of Shanghai.  Touristy but fun.  Here's what happened...

First leg of the trip was a short hop up to Vancouver Canada.

Ah... this is fun and we are all refreshed.

Hey Dad...

If the wings fall of the plane what will happen?

Ummmm..  Emily... The airline people don't like us to talk about that when we're ON

 the plane.

Wow!  Twelve hours on a plane can really tire you out.

Oh yeah... and the fact that Scott didn't want to pay 50 bucks for a taxi from the airport, so we took a crowed bus into Shanghai, and then waited on the street, and the people stared at us, and then we caught two taxis to the hotel.

After a good nights rest we got up for a quick walk down Nan Jing Lu and over to the Bund.

Blythe's first taste of China..

Hey!  you wanna buy some post cards?  Cheap'a Cheap'a!

                         No thanks says Blythe.

Hey!  Guy with the camera.  How about you.  10 for 2 dollars the lady says in English.

Tai gui!!  (Too expensive!)  I say.

Instead I'll keep snapping your picture until you go away...

Hey camera man... How about a kite...  Cheap'a Cheap'a.

                Nope.  Already have two.

I'm just gonna snap your picture.

Hey lady next to the camera man... How about that water bottle?  What are you going to do with it?

How bout giving it to me so I can recycle it and earn a penny.

                OK.  Here you go.

Blythe says:

"China is soooo cool!!"

Hmmmm...

Sometimes we must ask our selves..

                                             What would Mao do?

On second thought...

             Let's not ask that question.

Lets just go see his statue.

Made it on to the train.

                Next stop... Ningbo.

                                       To be continued...................
