The Great Wall at Huang Hua
Our walk started by walking across a dam and along a trail for about ¼ of a mile.  Then we turned up that hill behind us to a rickety old ladder set upon the great wall.  That's how we got up on the wall.
We soon came upon a watch tower.  You can see another one further in the distance.  It was just fantastic to be here by ourselves.
The wall was a bit steep in spots and the layer of snow made it a bit interesting.

It was a crisp, clear, perfect blue sky day!
Emily was thrilled that we let her walk so far ahead on her own.  She really wanted to do it!
Our trip ended way down in the valley behind us.  We didn't continue up the opposite ridge.  There certainly was nothing stopping us.  I think there are a lot of potentially interesting extended walking trips in this area.   We climbed down off the wall at one point to cut across a valley.  There was another big peak to cross if we stayed on the wall and Emily was getting tired. Now back on the wall on a final steep section.
Looking across the valley to a broken section of wall.
