Blythe and Emily's First Day at Ningbo International School
A children's story by Scott Raber

This is Blythe and Emily.  They live in Chiiiiina.  Today is their first day of school.

Out the door they go....                                   Bye Blythe!
They go into the elevator.......
down to the first floor, out the door...

and down the steps to walk across the apartment grounds.
They meet some friends waiting in front of the apartment.  They are going to NBIS too.  NBIS is short for Ningbo International School.

This is Maria.  She is from Australia.  She helps the principle organize at NBIS.  Her husband is a big wig at an international company.  He likes beer.  Can you say beer kids?  Beer is funny, it comes out the same color it goes in.  He, he...

This is Dana.  She is Chinese.  She works at NBIS too.
Here's the NBIS school bus.  That's Ellen smiling.   She is happy to see us.  Ellen is a teacher at the school.
Blythe says, "I like China.. and you can take that to the bank".

There  goes the little yellow school bus....  The driver is ready to zig and zag and drive like a maniac.  It's fun to drive on the wrong side of the road!  China is fun!
