A Walk through a Ningbo Village

Here are some pictures from a walk we took through the village across from our old apartment.  It's the alley you see behind sewing lady.

On this day we walked through Zhong Shan park to the 819 bus stop and took it across town to our old neighborhood.
We walked for a while before I began to take pictures.  The people don't seems to mind that we are walking along there neighborhood alley.
The people look at us as we pass by and most of them smile.

The children often exicitedly say "wai guo ren" as we pass.  It means foreigner.  It's not meant to be mean (and they figure we don't understand anyway), it's just what they do.

A look across a village home roof top at our a modern apartment building.  That building is where we used to live.
There are a lot of cannels in Ningbo.  This village runs along one.

Now we are back out on a city street looking in at a little shop on the edge of the village.

A look down one of the many alleys.
